10:30:  Grammar test (Unit 11--simple past)
            Reading Comprehension test

Bring your reading book.  You don't need to bring your grammar book.

12:00  Potluck party

Homework given August 13

Grammar:
Do exercise 2 (page 271) in your book.  Study the chart on using time clauses on page 48 of the new handout.

Writing:
There will be a writing test tomorrow.  You may use a paper dictionary, but no electronic dictionaries or other electronic devices will be allowed.

Reading:
Study for the Chapter 4 vocabulary quiz.

Homework given August 12

Grammar:
Complete the handout TO TURN IN.  Do exercises 4-7 (pages 264-266) in your book.

Reading:
Do the Story Completion on page 86 in your book.  There will be a vocabulary quiz on Unit 5 (pages 68, 72, 76, 80, and 84) on Wednesday.

Study the charts on pages 261-262 and do exercises 1-3 in your book.

Reading:
Do the Story Completion on page 82 in your book.
